Dr. Kenneth W. Meisten
Dr. Kenneth Meisten, President and owner of Carolina Health Innovations, offers an integrative, pro-active approach to achieving optimal health and wellness. Dr. Meisten believes that patient education and the understanding of chiropractic is the key to delivering and receiving quality healthcare. His commitment, passion, and experience result in a treatment plan specific to your needs.
Dr. Meisten's capacity to bring the best patient care includes a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from Sherman College, a Bachelor's degree in Adult Fitness, and over 25 years of experience in the health and fitness field.
For the past ten plus years, he has been treating patients in a health & wellness setting, allowing him to utilize his training and expertise and provide patients with improved fitness capabilities and better overall health. Dr. Meisten specializes in treating a wide range of conditions such as neck and low back pain, disc conditions, stenosis, headaches, acute and chronic injuries, extremity injuries, etc.
Dr. Meisten’s Background
Dr. Meisten grew up in Montvale, New Jersey. He moved away to go to college at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and graduated from there in 1996 with a degree in Adult Fitness. His earlier childhood dream was to have his own fitness center. After college, he worked for the Fitness Company, which owned and managed 70 fitness clubs up and down the east coast. He worked at their facility in Newark, New Jersey, for 2 1/2 years. He was a fitness counselor, personal trainer, fitness director, and assistant manager during that time.
While working for The Fitness Company, three of his fellow employees headed off to Life University to go to chiropractic school. His mentor kept in touch with him and felt he would be a perfect candidate to go to chiropractic school. He knew Dr. Meisten thoroughly enjoys working with people and helping them attain their personal goals in the health and fitness industry. His desire to have his fitness facility changed, and with much consideration, he decided to give chiropractic school a chance.
In September 1998, his chiropractic journey began for him at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. He ended up transferring to Sherman College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in January 2003 and graduated with a doctorate of chiropractic degree in 2004. He worked for several different chiropractors in South Carolina and Georgia for several years before becoming the proud owner of Carolina Health Innovations in August 2010.
Dr. Meisten has been married to his wife Jennifer for over 20 years. She is a principal at Beck Academy. He has two beautiful daughters, Lily and Isabella (Lily 19 and Isabella 16). Both love playing soccer as members of not only their College and High school teams but also travel teams. In his free time, Dr. Meisten spends most of his time watching his children play soccer all over the country, working out, hiking, and spending quality time with his family.
